Picture My Life Card Ideas...Week 2 ...So easy Zutter books for kids....

 

 

 

 

This weekend I was visiting two of my grandkids and we did a Close To My Heart project using my box of extra Picture My Life cards.  We picked out our favorites, even though some of them were from different pack, and I taught the kids  how to punch holes and bind them using a zutter tool. Obviously it was a hit with the 6 year old but  only a passing interest with the 2 year old.  The part they both enjoyed was adding pictures to their books.  We used double sided tape so they didn't need adult help. The hardest thing in working with kids is letting them do it their way.

A great project to make special memories for your wee ones with little expense and lots of fun!

Wk 1....What to do with extra PML cards! My Creation Mini albums

I love working with the easy pocket scrapbooking system Close To My Heart calls Picture My Life.  If you are like me and take an abundance of pictures it is an easy way to preserve your memories in a fast and easy manner.
The cards come in multiples of 2 or 3 depending on the kit, so often there are a lot of extra cards. Since the cards are beautiful, it is easy to use of the extra cards. So....for the next few weeks I am going to show you how I use up some of the extra cards. 
This week I used 2 of the My Creation Mini Albums with some extra cards.  The black album was used with Blackboard PML cards and given as a Valentine gift to my husband.
The Kraft album was enhanced with a few splashes of black gesso and decorated with Hopscotch PML cards. Last workshop on the go featured Hopscotch so I used smaller pictures of my teddy bears to delight my grand kids with this little album.

Wishes: Easy Valentines

 

 

We had a relaxing time creating Valentines using the sweet paper pack called Heartstrings today using the great Close To My Heart how to book called Wishes.  The patterns we used are found on pps. 23 -25, but we adapted them to 4" cards so we could use the great priced 4" envelopes found on my OBA in the while supplies last tab.
