After attending a planning meeting for Friendship International I was struck by a devotional I heard about the Ethiopian Eunuch. Philip heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you ar reading?" v.31 of Acts 8 says "And he said, "How can I, unless someone guides me?"...."
A short interchange, v.35 said Philip opened his mouth....
May we open our mouths to proclaim Christ as we do our daily activities. I love my crafting with others. I do it so I can share my life with others and encourage them to seek the Lord. May I not forget to "Open my mouth" so the people I am with can understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am sharing the Layouts (above) that I had begun last posting using the great Sonoma paper kit from Close To My Heart. The pics don't do it justice so I took a couple of closeups to show a bit of the detail. I decided to emboss the green background with diagonal lines because there was a bit too much "white space" for my taste. It is fun working with this color combination. . I will continue making cards and an accordian album out of the leftover kit. I will share the finished projects with you soon. (Hint...International ladies, this is the paper pack we will be working with during this semester at Friendship International.)
Have a great week and remember to Open Your Mouth....the gospel will go to all the nations and we can help as we develop relationships and share the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ with everyone we meet.
This Saturday (9/10/11) will be an open crop in my home while Steve teaches between 9:30am and noon. If you are anywhere near Versailles, Kentucky please join us. It is free and I serve great coffee. It will encourage you to finish up some projects and start some new ones.
Always, Alayne
I looked at the post and realized I posted the pic before I added the embossing so I will add it so you can see the difference.
