More thoughts on Hope….
Psalm 33:21 “In Him our
hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.”
“When a sudden storm strikes a ship at anchor, only the links
of the chain and the anchor wedged in the rocks keep vessel and crew from being
set dangerously adrift. Obviously the more tumultuous the times, the more
important the mourings. In our own
stressful moments, our hopes need to be
anchored securely – not to wishes or feelings, but in God’s
promise. As the author of Hebrews said, “We
have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19 “
The above quote is taken from a devotional by James Dobson
entitled Night Light, When I read
this paragraph it helped me focus on where my focus needs to be on a daily
basis.
We have recently had a change in where we go to Worship. It
has not been easy after going to the same fellowship for over a decade. The name of the church is Anchor. Maybe I
needed to meditate on Hebrews 6:19 as we go through transition and meet new friends
that we can encourage in the Word and be encouraged by others.
This past week (Fall Break) we did not have Friendship
International so I didn’t post a new card because we didn’t have class. So now,
I will post the third card in the workshop.

This is found in the Originals book on page23 and
(picture on page 44). I really enjoy
seeing how color changes the whole look of a card. That is one reason I love
Close To My Heart how to books.
I do want to thank the ladies that came to my home workshop
Thursday since class was canceled. It was fun having more time and also a lot
of fun meeting the kids that are in nursery during our classes. Thank you all
for making the effort to travel to my Versailles home.
Have a hopeful week!
Always, Alayne
What a wonderful picture painted in the devotional. It reminds me of the wise man who built his house upon The Rock. With Jesus as our firm foundation, we can weather any storm.
ReplyDeletePretty card, too. I don't have "Oritinals" yet. Maybe it's time. :-)
