Seasonal Trees Blog Hop

Seasonal Trees is a great stamp set to get you excited about the upcoming holiday season...and more to come! Weather you are crafting for Thanksgiving, Christmas or a Summer Holiday this set is for you!

Brenda Lapp pointed you to my blog as part of the Close To My Heart consultant monthly Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. After you see the fun card I made head over to Katy Taylor's blog and see what she created to share with you. If you like you can start at the beginning of the blog by heading over to Melinda Everett's blog lists all participating consultants this month.

I chose to use the Oh What Fun paper pack to highlight this fun Seasonal Tree stamp set that you can get for only $5 with a qualifying $50 order on my website.

I made this card using a svg purchased from 3Dcuts.com adding a pattern adapted from page 24, Pattern 10 from Make It from Your Heart Vol.4 to make the front cover. The size of the card is a folded 8.5" x 11" cardstock piece so it requires a 6" x 9 envelope for mailing.

The bright paper really makes the Merry Christmas POP when you open the card!

One of my favorite things to do with these great stamped images is make Cricut cuts with them to make unusual scrapbook layouts with them. I used one of the trees to make a mini forest with the leaves cut out on the background page to show a color behind it. I used Pomegranate and Clover cardstock to make the tree trunks. Fun!

Flip flaps make adding extra pictures to a layout easy. There are six extras added...

I also prepared my next project using Mylar Stencil Sheets copying a stamped image of another tree and I will be using two types of our Texture pastes to add dimension to a Thanksgiving holiday home decor piece. I will try to post tomorrow.

The other tip I want to leave you with is to use two sizes of 3D foam tape when you are using multiples of similar die cuts to add depth without bulk to your layouts. Always, Alayne

October SOTM 2018 ~ Thanks & Giving Blog Hop

Kathy Burrows directed you here on the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month blog... You are in the right place to enjoy seeing ideas of how you can use this fun stamp this Autumn.
After you check out my art work go over to Brenda Lapp's blog and see her creations. If you want to make sure you see all the goodies offered by the consultants who participated in the blog hop this month go to Melinda Everitt's blog and see the whole list.

What will you make with this great Stamp set?

Go to The Make It From the Heart  blog post if you want to see each cared individually.

Tag dies were used to make the inside of the Thanksgiving place cards. I then use a retired CTMH cartridge Art Philosophy to make a tag card that was embossed on the outside and attached with twine that can stand easily at the place settings.  The white space allows room for each guest to write down things they are thankful for on this special holiday.

Flip flaps were used and made it easy to add extra snap shots and journal blocks to the Gather layout.

I used the stitched heart die cuts in three different sizes to make accents using the paper from the Grateful Heart Paper pack.

This is a great stamp set that you can purchase for only $5 with a qualifying $50 order, or you can pay $18.95  full retail price. Either way this will be a fantastic stamp set to add to your stash so you can decorate your paper crafting this Thanksgiving Season. Always, Alayne

Holiday Expressions New Product Blog Hop

If you came from Brandi Robinson's blog you are in the right place on the CTMH New Product Blog hop.

Please enjoy my creations using the new Decorative Border & Fancy tags dies. When you are finished continue this fantastic Blog Hop by heading over to Brenda Lapp's blog and enjoy her creative use of new products from the new Seasonal Expression Idea book. Of course you can start at the beginning of the hop by heading to Melinda Everitt's blog and see all the consultants participating.

The new die cut set Fancy Tags has a lot of fun shapes that can be added to projects.

The Border Set is great to add shapes and/or dimension to your cards or layouts. Here I am adding a sliced border to create texture in the card. I repeated it in two directions of the card.
,

The outside of the pocket card is made with the Boutique paper pack.  Below you can see where I scored the 6.5" x 10" pocket base before it was decorated with a die cut tag and stamped with Meant to Be.

Here is a pocket card I made using the Boutique paper pack and a scallop circle die cut and used the Meant to Be stamp set.

Next I used the Border Dies to decorate a simple layout from the new How To Book:  Love of Color, p.36 using a pattern from Volume 1 Make It From Your Heart and a Scallop Circle from the Fancy Tag dies.

Foam tape gives dimension to your layouts and cards by adding a bit of a shadow and height.
I absolutely love the new dies but they are a little pricey. Remember you can book a gathering or on-line party and earn any item in the catalog for half price with a level 3 party. Contact me at Alayneswillinghands@gmail.com to set it up!
Now it is time to head over to Brenda's blog and she what she loves in the new Idea book!
