Picture My Life Close To My Heart Blog Hop

Are you ready for a fun, informative blog hop?
If you came from Kathy's blog you are well on your way to seeing
some of the unique ways to use Picture My Life
pocket protectors and cards.

When you finish with this blog hop over to Stefani's blog and get more inspiration!

I used leftover Picture My Life cards from Chelsea Gardens Workshop Your Way Kit and
Juniper card stock to create these Picture My Life pages.

I want to teach an easy technique on how to add larger than 4'x6' pictures to your PML
pages. I find that if larger pictures are included it gives variety to your pages and adds more
interest to your favorite pictures. Just be careful where you cut the larger pictures!

This is a picture of a 2 page Picture My Life layout using  some cut apart PML cards,
and background texture paper along with some Cricut cutouts.
I will post the front and back of these layouts as they are completed.

A complete list of other bloggers that will delight you with ideas on how to use PML cards can be found at Melinda's blog
Please feel free to add your picture My Life creations on the comments of this blog. I would love to see your creations!        Always, Alayne

Make It From The Heart Vol 3, Pattern #5

SOTM titles on easy layout using leftovers...

Close to my Heart offers Workshop your way kit instructions for all the paper suites in each Seasonal Expression Idea Book. The new How To Book, Make It from The Heart Vol 3 provides easy layouts the go together quickly with the leftover supplies from the Workshop kits.
I experimented using the Tim Holtz stamping platform with 12" paper. It was easier then I thought positioning stamps easily on the base pages.

I used archival ink so the titles could be colored with watercolors.

Flip Flaps are a great addition to any layout and come in many sizes. It is also a fun interactive tool to help children enjoy your layouts and albums.

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Color Your Life!
Have you been going in circles viewing the great Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop?
If you came from   Miss Carrie's Creations  you are now here, viewing my first try at the hop.
Michelle Stewart will begin the cycle again if you want to learn more techniques and see more art featuring the great stamp Color Your Life (p.80 in Seasonal Expression 1 Idea Book) that you can get for only $5 with qualifying $50 purchase.

Easy steps to use the stamp of the month to make a Celebrate life card.
1. stamp Life image on paper of choice and attach to card base, I used Chelsea Gardens.
2. Add color to stamped image and attach a zip strip below stamped paper.
3.Stamp banner piece and attach with foam tape or 3D foam dots.
4.Evaluate card and decide what embellishments to add

5.punch hoes in banner piece to add a piece of  ribbon. (note easier to do before adding foam tape.)
6. I thread ribbon front to back first and then bring it to the front and triml
7. Add gems and or sparkles as desired.
