Back on line after a busy fall.....getting ready for Oz.

I want to take time to announce my new blog that will work hand in hand with this blog during the next 7 months. Today I started Alayneinbizzybrizzy.BlogSpot.com to help keep in touch with my friends and families when I am away from them.  Our departure date is January 7, 2016. It is getting close and I am taking time to savor my family in the short days left.  I post this countdown picture (which also begins Bizzy in Brizzy) to announce my new blog.  God bless!  Always, Alayne

Zoe Box Card Tutorial

Zoe makes a terrific pallet for this card tutorial with added pictures. This is a tutorial on how to make a box card with finished flat card that is able to post with added second stamp postage.
The exact sizes are on a previous post, but I will place dimensions under the pictures for easy reference.  Have fun making this sweet card box.

Base of card:  10.5" x 7"
Score:1/2", 2.5" sections
score at 3.5"horizontal except at base

plan lining color and cut 4 pieces: 2.25"x 5 or 6"

Score and attach 3 linings, leaving back piece flat.
First lining attach after box side is adhered.
Inner pieces are 3,5" x 2" scored with 1/2" folds on end.

Any flexible plastic sheet can be used for holding accents.
I use laminating plastic because it is easy to cut.
I make a few 1/2" x 6"pieces and them pick accents and
pictures to add to card box.

I used xyron adhesive to attach velum accents to c/s.
I also put extra stickease and mats on back of the accent pieces.

Remember when you plan accents and photos, you want to make
sure it doesn't exceed width or height of a 5x7 envelope.

Greeting Card Workshop: Wishes pp.110 - 115 using Zoe paper pack and the August Stamp of the Month S1508 Framed.  You can make 16 cards in a snap by cutting the pieces for 2 each of 8 cards.  I also added a bit of cardstock as mats, some thick twine and retired ribbon, and embossing folder impressions. The sentiment stamps were embossed using clear embossing powder and  pigment ink,

Picture My LIfe pages from previous Home Decor...Save those memories!

It is time for a change in my home décor....so instead of discarding my pictures on my frames, I added them to a Picture My Life Album.  It is easy to adapt my creativity from one project to another for long term storage and enjoyment. What a great way to use photos of loved ones and special times!

Studio J makes capturing moments fast and easy....and done!

This past week we had a special event happen in the Fleming household when our youngest daughter had her second son.  So I took some of the hospital pictures and made a few captured memories. These are special to us, but might bore someone who isn't a grandparent. The joy for me is doing the pages simply and fast using Studio J so I can have more time to actually enjoy the grand kids!  Always Alayne
