Power....

Power
“For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.”               2 Corinthians 13:4

Everyday reveals joy in little things. Sometimes I feel weak and not capable of doing what I need to do. Then I take time and read a few Psalms and spend time talking things over with God and I feel refreshed enough to keep doing what I have to do.  The verse above reminds me that my power comes from Crucified Christ. When I remember Christ died for me it makes it easier for me to find the the joy in little things.
Each week I will be posting one of the special cards we will be making at Friendship International. This is the first card:
It is a new pattern called “Pachage Deal” developed for the Sonoma workshop on the go kit (#G1028).
The next 4 weeks of cards will be using the Sonoma Kit but the patterns come from the  Jeanette R. Lynton book Originals, handcrafted cards made easy. (#9032)
I used Scallop die cut Kraft cards (#Z1474) for the base of the cards and matching envelopes, but you could use the same pattern in any color you like. Contact me if you want to learn how to make this card, or use the shopping with Alayne link below.
Have a great week crafting and feel free to join me in my home Tuesday evening (9/26/11 6pm – 8:30pm) for Free instruction on how to do Studio J and/or digital Scrapbooking.
Always, Alayne
Here is the cutting quide for the Kraft cards we will be making:

 BONUSPROJECT
WORKSHOPS ON THE GO™

Sonoma Cutting Guide

To create the bonus project, use this information along with the featured how-to book. The paper swatches shown below
correspond with the book’s cutting diagrams, making it easy to determine which papers should be used. Simply match the
swatches with the letters designated in the pattern, and then cut your paper accordingly.

Originals® (pages 23, 39, 110, and 124)

Tip: As you cut the paper, sort the pieces as indicated in this cutting guide so that each piece of artwork has its own stack.
For example, if a piece is labeled “Side Focus,™” place it in the stack for the Side Focus card. Use the picture of the finished
artwork, this guide, and the appropriate pattern from our how-to book to assemble your cards.
